Convenience Centers

Six Locations Available Four Days A Week

Haralson County offers Trash Collection Convenience Centers to its residents at six strategic locations in the county. These centers accept household garbage, bulk waste and recyclables. Bagged residential household garbage is accepted at each of the Convenience Center locations with a limit of 10 bags per trip. The centers are open four days a week - Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday - from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

A current permit is required for access to all six centers. Permits are issued annually and must be renewed by January 31. Attendants at the convenience centers check for these permits at the entrance to each site. To get a permit, county residents must show proof of residency with a tax or utility bill, mortgage statement or lease agreement. The county will issue only one permit per household. Permits can be obtained at the Commissioner's Office, 155 Van Wert Street, Buchanan.

If you are located in unincorporated Haralson County or the Cities of Buchanan and Waco, the permit is free. If you are located in Bremen or Tallapoosa the permit cost is $40 per year. The Mayors of Bremen and Tallapoosa opted out of the Haralson County Sanitation program. If you have any questions concerning service delivery please contact your mayor.
